US panel urges India to end communication blackout in Kashmir

A US Congress committee has urged Indian government to put an end to the communication blackout in Kashmir. They claim the communication blackout has had a 'devastating impact' on the people in the Valley and urged Kashmiris should be given the same rights and privileges as any other Indian. The development comes days after Donald Trump and Narendra Modi met on the sidelines of United Nations General Assembly.
