Nearly 21 per cent candidates contesting in the fifth phase of Uttar Pradesh assembly elections face serious criminal cases, according to an Association for Democratic Reform (ADR) report. According to the report, over 60 per cent of the assembly constituencies going to polls during the fifth phase of elections in Uttar Pradesh have three or more candidates with criminal cases in fray.
