UN conference in Geneva: Pakistan PM Sharif seeks $8 billion in flood assistance from int'l community

Pakistan is reeling under the effect of disastrous floods that struck the nation last year killing over 1700 people and affecting around 33 million citizens. As per a PTI report, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday sought $8 billion assistance from the international community over the next three years to bridge the funding needs for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the affected areas.
