Sri Lanka Planning to Hand Over India an Airport

India might get the Hambantota Airport near the deep-sea port to be operated by China. The Mattala Rajapaksa Int’l Airport (MRIA) has not been profitable to Sri Lanka, that why Lankan Govt is considering to hand over the airport to India. The Sri Lankan Civil Aviation Ministry has handed over a proposal to the Sri Lankan cabinet, asking to involve India in the administration and management of the airport.
