Sanjay Rai, Indian-American, named to top post in State Education panel in US

Maryland Governor Wes Moore has named Indian-American Sanjay Rai as acting secretary for the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) Rai, who is Montgomery College's senior vice president for academic affairs, will start his new role in May. In his announcement, Moore cited Rai's 30-plus years of career experience dedicated to higher education and his commitment to innovation, access, and leadership.
