Maharashtra announces Rs 50,000 ex-gratia amount for kins of COVID victims

The Maharashtra Government on Friday announced Rs 50,000 ex-gratia payment for the kins or immediate relatives of people who lost their lives due to COVID-19, ANI reported. Maharashtra, which has the highest COVID-19 death toll in India, was one of the worst-hit Indian states both during the first and the second deadly wave of coronavirus. The western state recorded 1,40,857 of total COVID deaths so far, as per My Government data.
