Mahua Moitra, the new entrant in Indian politics, the 44-year-old is a former investment banker with American bank JP Morgan, quit her job in London in 2009 to get into politics. She pursued higher education in Massachusetts. She began her political career briefly with Congress in W Bengal & switched to Mamata Banerjee led TMC in 2010. She won LS seat against BJP's Kalyan Chaubey by over 60,000 votes in 2019 elections.
