While Iceland was set to have a woman-majority parliament, a recount of votes has revealed that the count of men in the parliament will still be higher than that of women. The 63-seat parliament in Iceland has 30 elected women members, not 33. Rwanda, Cuba and Nicaragua are the only 3 countries that have more women than men in parliament. Iceland is the most gender-equal country in the world for the past 12 years.
