Emmerson Mnangagwa sworn in as Zimbabwe president

Following a departure of Robert Mugabe after 37 years of rule, former vice president Emmerson Mnangagwa has been sworn in as President of Zimbabwe in front of thousands of supporters at the national sports stadium on the outskirts of Harare. Emmerson, who became country's 2nd leader since independence from white minority rule in 1980, recently fled the country in fear of his life. He pledges to be faithful to Zimbabwe.
