UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet has urged Bangladeshi government to open its ports to allow boats carrying several Rohingya refugees to dock for urgent medical care, food and water. Nearly 500 people are onboard the two stranded trawlers, which were recently spotted in Bay of Bengal but have reportedly returned to the high seas after Bangladesh foreign ministry said it won’t accept the boats.
