Austrian president 'sorry' for breaking lockdown rules

Austria's President Alexander Van der Bellen has apologized after staying at a restaurant in the capital Vienna beyond the coronavirus closing time of 23:00. He was there until after midnight. However, Van der Bellen has admitted he had lost track of the time chatting with friends at the restaurant in the centre of the city. The restaurant might have faced a fine but the President says he takes full responsibility.
