Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is known for calling spade a spade, said while speaking at the 19th edition of the India Today Conclave 2021, that immigrant Muslims are the key reason behind the northeastern state losing its identity, culture and land. "Many Assamese people think this way. This process started before Independence. I am carrying this burden of history with me," the CM said.
