70% liquor stores reopened on highways across the country

After a Supreme Court order last year that banned the sale of liquor within 500 meters of any highway, they have now clarified their stand and stated that this won't apply to stretches of highways within city limits. Most stretches of highways are owned by mostly municipalities or village panchayats. This has especially been in the case of Chandigarh which has been designed to be connected to highways.
