Homi Jehangir Bhabha was a nuclear scientist of Indian origin who made significant contributions to quantum theory and cosmic radiation. He is referred to as the "Father of the Indian Nuclear Program." Homi Jehangir Bhabha was born on October 30, 1909 in Mumbai to a rich Parisi family that was extremely powerful in western India. His father was a lawyer named Jehangir Hormusji Bhabha. He was the first Chairman of India's Atomic Energy Commission.
