Marcus Junius Brutus, also known as Quintus Caepio Brutus, was a Roman politician who was a key figure in the plot to assassinate Julius Caesar in 44 BCE. He died on October 23, 42 BCE.

Drake Graham, a Canadian rapper, singer, and actor, was born on October 24, 1986. Drake, a significant figure in modern popular music, is credited with making singing and R&B sensibilities more common in hip hop. Chaplin married Mildred Harris, a popular child actress, on October 23, 1918, at the age of 29. They had one son, Norman Spencer Chaplin, who died three days after his birth on July 7, 1919. By late 1919, Chaplin had split from Harris and returned to the Los Angeles Athletic Club.

George Cadbury, an English businessman and social reformer who, with his elder brother, Richard, took over their father's failing enterprise (April 1861) and transformed it into the highly prosperous Cadbury Brothers cocoa- and chocolate-manufacturing firm, died on October 24, 1922.
