George Cadbury, an English businessman and social reformer who, with his elder brother, Richard, took over their father's failing enterprise (April 1861) and transformed it into the highly prosperous Cadbury Brothers cocoa- and chocolate-manufacturing firm, died on October 24, 1922.

While the iMac launched Apple's rebirth in 1998, it was the introduction of the iPod in 2001 that truly put the firm on the path to become the world's most valuable company. Jobs famously marketed the first iPod as having "1,000 tunes in your pocket." The device's 5GB hard drive and 0.75-inch thickness were remarkable at the time, and it also included a two-inch screen, up to 10 hours of battery life, a FireWire connector, and the initial incarnation of the iconic click wheel.

Drake Graham, a Canadian rapper, singer, and actor, was born on October 24, 1986. Drake, a significant figure in modern popular music, is credited with making singing and R&B sensibilities more common in hip hop. His role as Jimmy Brooks on the CTV teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation (2001–2008) helped him gain popularity. He then decided to pursue a career in music, releasing his debut mixtape Room for Improvement in 2006. Before joining Young Money Entertainment, he released the mixtapes Comeback Season (2007) and So Far Gone (2009).

Steffi Graf, a renowned former German tennis player played her first professional tennis match in the year 1982 on October 24th. She, since then became a dominant female tennis player in the 80's and 90's. She even won her first grand slam in 1987, after 5 years since she played her first match.

On October 24th, in the year 1911, Orville Wright set a new world soaring record of 9 minutes and 45 seconds of unpowered flight.The record had stood internationaly until the year 1921. It was another great accomplishment by Orville Wright.

The Smurfs were developed and launched as a series of comic characters in 1958 by Belgian comics artist Peyo under the name Les Schtroumpfs. There are over 100 Smurf personalities, and their names are based on adjectives that highlight their traits, such as "Jokey Smurf," who enjoys playing practical jokes on his fellow smurfs. The first female Smurf presented in the series was "Smurfette." On October 23, 1958, Spirou issued their first full-length appearance. The characters were a tremendous hit, and the first standalone Smurf stories, as well as the first merchandise, debuted in Spirou in 1959.

Chaplin married Mildred Harris, a popular child actress, on October 23, 1918, at the age of 29. They had one son, Norman Spencer Chaplin, who died three days after his birth on July 7, 1919. By late 1919, Chaplin had split from Harris and returned to the Los Angeles Athletic Club.

Emilia Clarke is best recognized for her portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO series "Game of Thrones." Clarke was born on October 23, 1986, in London, England. Her passion in performing began at a young age, when her mother took her to see a performance of the famous musical Show Boat, on which her father was working as a sound engineer. Her curiosity would only grow if she accompanied her father to the theater in the future. Clarke's big break came in 2011, when she was cast as Daenerys Targaryen in HBO's blockbuster show Game of Thrones. She has since been on Broadway and in films such as Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Louis Renault, known for building the largest automobile company in France took his lst breath on October 24th in the year 1944. However, Renault cars have still kept him alive.
