Amit Shah, an Indian politician who was born on October 22, 1964, has been the country's first Minister of Co-operation since 2021 and the Minister of Home Affairs since 2019. From 2014 to 2020, he presided over the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Since 2014, he has also served as the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) chairman. In the 2019 Indian general elections, he was chosen to represent Gandhinagar in the Lok Sabha, the country's lower house of parliament. In 2017, he had previously been chosen to represent Gujarat in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of Parliament. He was sworn in at the age of 54, making him the youngest Home Minister currently in office.
