Lal Bahadur Shastri, the second Prime Minister of India was an Indian statesman. He was the one who promoted the white revolution, a national campaign to increase the production and supply of milk. He spent about seven years of his life in the jail while struggling for the independence of India from the Britishers. He was known as the man of great competence and integrity. He was the man with one vision who led India towrds its progress. He was deeply influenced by Mahatma Gandhi and hence were his great follower. Both of them even share the same date of birth too i.e. October 2nd.
