The 77-year-old statesman, who had been suffering blood cancer and renal failure for more than 17 years, died in the city's Apollo Hospital, where he was being treated. Singh died on November 27, 2008, at Apollo Hospital in Delhi, following a protracted battle with multiple myeloma and renal failure. On November 29, 2008, he was cremated in Allahabad on the banks of the Ganges, with his son Ajeya Singh lighting the cremation pyre.

Eugene O'Neill was a major American theatrical dramatist. Four of his plays received the Pulitzer Prize. His major concern was the grief and pain that sensitive (easily harmed or damaged) persons went through. When O'Neill realised he was dying, he tore up six of his unfinished plays rather than have them rewritten by someone else. On November 27, 1953, he passed away.

The Mumbai terrorist attacks of 2008 were a series of terrorist assaults that took place in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, on November 26, 2008. Fans may remember Suresh Kumar Raina as the first Indian to score a century in all three versions of the game. Bruce Lee, who was reared in Hong Kong, was a child actor who appeared in over 20 films. Bruce began studying wing chun gung fu at the age of 13 under renowned wing chun instructor Yip Man. Hollywood took note, and Bruce was soon making the first Hollywood/Hong Kong coproduction, Enter the Dragon.

Arjun Rampal, a former model turned actor and producer, rose to prominence after appearing in Rajiv Rai's romance drama Pyaar Ishq aur Mohabbat in 2001. However, following this, he released films that did not go down well with the public. Soon after, Arjun Rampal delivered films such as Don and Rock on!, earning him the National Film Award for best supporting actor. Arjun Rampal was born in Jabalpur, India on November 26, 1972 (age 49).

The tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, who died in 1323 BC at the age of roughly 18, was found late in 1922 by British archaeologist Howard Carter in Egypt's Valley of the Kings, across the Nile from Luxor. His tomb was one that Carter had been looking for for years. Tutankhamun, or King Tut, had a tomb filled of amazing items that was virtually undamaged. These items, combined with his remains, would reveal a great deal about the life and death of this young king.

Gaston Chevrolet, a race driver from Los Angeles, is died in a track collision. He is the first of three renowned brothers to die in a sad accident. Gaston was Louis Chevrolet's younger brother and co-founder of the Chevrolet Motor Car Company, which subsequently became part of General Motors. Louis and his middle brother, Arthur, were born in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, which also happened to be the hometown of their contemporary, Machine Age architect Le Corbusier. Gaston Chevrolet, the posthumous champion, was 28 years old.

Karl Benz, a German inventor, is one of several people credited with inventing the first vehicle. He designed the motorised tricycle in 1885, which became the first "horseless vehicle" powered by an internal combustion engine. Benz's contributions to vehicle design included the development of elements such as a carburetor and an electrical ignition system. On November 25, 1844, Benz was born in Karlsruhe, Germany. His father was a train engineer who died when his kid was two years old from pneumonia.
