Gaston Chevrolet, a race driver from Los Angeles, is died in a track collision. He is the first of three renowned brothers to die in a sad accident. Gaston was Louis Chevrolet's younger brother and co-founder of the Chevrolet Motor Car Company, which subsequently became part of General Motors. Louis and his middle brother, Arthur, were born in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, which also happened to be the hometown of their contemporary, Machine Age architect Le Corbusier. Gaston Chevrolet, the posthumous champion, was 28 years old.
