Gandhi was arrested while leading a march on November 6, 1913, that included 127 women, 57 children, and 2037 men. He was freed on bond, returned to the march, and was detained again. The Indian Relief Bill was eventually repealed. Gandi returned to India and guided his country to freedom via his constant quiet opposition to British authority. During the battle against apartheid, his ideology of passive resistance was heavily used.
