David Lawrence Schwimmer, an American actor, comedian, director, and producer, was born on November 2, 1966. He rose to fame by playing Ross Geller in the sitcom Friends, for which he was nominated in 1995 for an Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series Primetime Emmy Award and won a Screen Actors Guild Award. His first major motion picture role was in The Pallbearer (1996) while he was still performing in Friends. He was then chosen to play Herbert Sobel in the 2001 miniseries Band of Brothers.

Shah Rukh Khan was born in Delhi, India on November 2, 1965. He is an award-winning Indian film actor who works in Bollywood films, as well as a film producer and television personality. Marie Antoinette was born in Vienna, Austria, on November 2, 1755. Marie Antoinette was the 15th and final child of Austrian Empress Maria Theresa and Holy Roman Emperor Francis I. She had a rather carefree upbringing. Marie Antoinette contributed to the public dissatisfaction that led to the French Revolution and the monarchy's collapse in August 1792. She became a symbol of the monarchy's excesses and is commonly associated with the famous remark "Let them eat cake," despite the fact that there is no proof she really uttered it. Marie Antoinette, Louis XVI's consort, was killed by decree of the Revolutionary tribunal nine months after her husband.

In 1876, he relocated to London, where he continued to write but struggled financially. In 1895, he was hired as a theatrical critic for the Saturday Review and began composing his own plays. His play Pygmalion was eventually adapted into two films, the first of which received an Oscar for the script he created. During his career, Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw created more than 60 plays and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1925. Shaw died in 1950, at the age of 94, while writing on a new play.

Aga Khan III, Sultan Sir Muhammad Shah, was born in Karachi on November 2, 1877. He succeeded his father, Aga Khan II, as imam when he was eight years old. Under his leadership, the office gained the most clout. The Aga Khan was a well-known figure in European society due to his personal appeal, vast fortune, and brilliance. His passion for horse racing aided his friendships with the great and renowned in politics, industry, and the arts. This was a family legacy, and the Aga Khan's stables were world-class. His horses won the Derby three times, as well as many other notable races.

The occupations of Constantinople and Smyrna galvanized the Turkish national movement, which eventually triumphed in the Turkish War of Independence. Cook left IBM after a 12-year career and went on to management positions at Intelligent Electronics and Compaq before joining Apple in 1998. Shortly after the death of predecessor Steve Jobs in August 2011, Cook was chosen Apple's new CEO.

The Japanese ship Taiyo Maru landed at Honolulu in November 1941, carrying 340 passengers, including Suguru Suzuki, the Japanese Imperial Navy's youngest lieutenant commander. His covert objective was to validate information regarding Pearl Harbor defenses and get more data from Japanese sources in Honolulu. According to the spy, Suzuki submitted a list of 97 questions to Yoshikawa via Consul General Kita on a "tiny ball of crumpled rice paper." He had 24 hours to answer. Yoshikawa recounted some of Suzuki's queries and replies in a 1960 article:

In 1948, France and India agreed that the inhabitants of France's Indian possessions would choose their political future. French India was not de jure united with the Indian Union until 1962. He was also a part-time off-break right-handed bowler. Because of his surname VVS Laxman, he was also known as Very Very Special Laxman. His 281-run innings against Australia at Eden Gardens in 2001 is regarded as the best Test effort in the previous 50 years. Along batting Rahul Dravid, he holds the record for the biggest third-inning partnership (376 runs) in a test match.

The Hughes Flying Boat, once the biggest aircraft ever built, is flown on its first and only flight by creator Howard Hughes. The gigantic wooden aircraft, built of laminated birch and spruce (thus the moniker the Spruce Goose), had a wingspan larger than a football field and was planned to transport more than 700 men to battle. When Howard Hughes created the Hughes Aircraft Company in 1932, he was a renowned Hollywood movie producer. He personally tested cutting-edge aircraft of his own design and set a transcontinental flight time record in 1937. He flew around the world in three days, 19 hours, and 14 minutes in 1938.

Ngo Dinh Nhu was South Vietnamese President Ngo Dinh Diem's younger brother and main political adviser. Nhu commanded the ARVN special forces and the Personalist Labor Revolutionary Party organization, as well as the regime's secret police. He was assassinated during the coup against his brother in 1963. Nhu was bayoneted three times while travelling in an armored personnel carrier with guards, and Diem was shot in the head with a handgun. The killings of the two brothers resulted in the formation of a military junta in the South.
