The Japanese ship Taiyo Maru landed at Honolulu in November 1941, carrying 340 passengers, including Suguru Suzuki, the Japanese Imperial Navy's youngest lieutenant commander. His covert objective was to validate information regarding Pearl Harbor defenses and get more data from Japanese sources in Honolulu. According to the spy, Suzuki submitted a list of 97 questions to Yoshikawa via Consul General Kita on a "tiny ball of crumpled rice paper." He had 24 hours to answer. Yoshikawa recounted some of Suzuki's queries and replies in a 1960 article:

He personally tested cutting-edge aircraft of his own design and set a transcontinental flight time record in 1937. He flew around the world in three days, 19 hours, and 14 minutes in 1938.

Aishwarya Rai, the gorgeous beauty of Bollywood, is famed for setting new beauty standards. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was born on November 1, 1973, rose to prominence as one of Bollywood's most famous and successful actresses. Vangipurapu Venkata Sai Laxman, often known as VVS Laxman, is a former Indian cricketer who was born in Hyderabad on November 1, 1974. He was a right-handed batter who was also one of the greatest. He was also a part-time off-break right-handed bowler. Because of his surname VVS Laxman, he was also known as Very Very Special Laxman. His 281-run innings against Australia at Eden Gardens in 2001 is regarded as the best Test effort in the previous 50 years. Along batting Rahul Dravid, he holds the record for the biggest third-inning partnership (376 runs) in a test match.

In 1876, he relocated to London, where he continued to write but struggled financially. In 1895, he was hired as a theatrical critic for the Saturday Review and began composing his own plays. His play Pygmalion was eventually adapted into two films, the first of which received an Oscar for the script he created. During his career, Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw created more than 60 plays and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1925. Shaw died in 1950, at the age of 94, while writing on a new play.

Tim Cook, an American corporate entrepreneur and engineer, has been Apple's CEO since August 2011. Tim Cook was born Timothy D. Cook on November 1, 1960, in the little town of Robertsdale, Alabama. Cook, the second of three sons born to father Donald, a shipyard worker, and mother Geraldine, a homemaker, finished second in his class from Robertsdale High School in 1978. Cook left IBM after a 12-year career and went on to management positions at Intelligent Electronics and Compaq before joining Apple in 1998. Shortly after the death of predecessor Steve Jobs in August 2011, Cook was chosen Apple's new CEO.
