Ho Ch Minh (born Nguyn Sinh Cung on May 19, 1890) was a Vietnamese revolutionary and statesman. From 1945 to 1955, he was Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, and from 1945 until his death in 1969, he was President. He was the Chairman and First Secretary of the Workers' Party of Vietnam and an ideological Marxist–Leninist.
