The Pokhran-II tests were a series of five nuclear bomb tests conducted by India in May 1998 at the Indian Army's Pokhran Test Range. It was India's second nuclear test; the first, codenamed Smiling Buddha, took place in May 1974. The tests were successful in their primary goal of providing India with the ability to build fission and thermonuclear weapons with yields of up to 200 kilotons. Each of the Pokhran-II explosions, according to the then-Chairman of the Indian Atomic Energy Commission, was "equivalent to several tests carried out by other nuclear weapon states over decades." Following that, India established a computer simulation capability to predict the yields of nuclear explosives whose designs are similar to the designs of explosives used in this case.

He was born on May 11, 1904 and died on January 23, 1989. Dal was born in Figueres, Catalonia, Spain, and received his formal art education in Madrid. From a young age, he was influenced by Impressionism and Renaissance masters such as Luca, and he became increasingly drawn to Cubism and avant-garde movements. In the late 1920s, he became more interested in Surrealism and joined the Surrealist group in 1929, quickly becoming one of its leading exponents. His most well-known work,

The Motherland Monument's designers wanted it to represent the tenacity of the national spirit that survived and triumphed in the face of adversity. On May 9, 1981, the monument and museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War opened to the public.

The Indian Rebellion of 1857, also known as the First War of Indian Independence, began at Meerut on May 10, 1857. Although not the first insurrection against the East India Company, it was the first big and large-scale rebellion against the Company. The Somnath temple in Gujarat was restored today (May 11). Rajendra Prasad, the first president of the Indian republic, led the reconsecration ceremony of the lingam at the temple on May 11, 1951. The Sri Somnath temple is regarded as the first of India's twelve Jyotirlingas. The temple is extremely important to Sanatana Dharma devotees. During the mediaeval ages, between the 11th and 18th centuries, foreign invaders destroyed the temple several times. Despite this, the temple has become a symbol of indigenous resistance and resilience, as Hindus rebuilt it each time it was destroyed. Rajendra Prasad delivered a stirring speech during the temple's opening ceremony on May 11, 1951. He stated that while physical symbols of our civilization could be destroyed, no arms, army, or king could break the people's bond with their culture and faith. The civilisation would survive as long as that bond remained. He went on to say that it was the creative urge for civilisational renewal that had been nurtured in the hearts of the people for centuries that had led to the praan-pratishta of the Somnath deity once again. According to him, Somnath was the symbol of ancient India's economic and spiritual prosperity. The reconstruction of Somnath will not be completed until India regains its former prosperity.

The following year, in 1993, she joined an Indo-Nepalese women's expedition to the world's tallest peak, successfully climbing it to set the global record as the first woman to ascend Mount Everest. Yadav is also the first woman to successfully climb Mount Everest from the Kangshung Face! Kangshung Face, also known as East Face, is the peak's eastern-facing side and one of Mount Everest's Chinese faces.

Sharath M. Gayakwad, born on May 10, 1991, is an Indian para-swimmer who has won about 40 national and 30 international medals in para swimming. Sharath M Gayakwad's path as a Paralympian swimmer and Arjuna awardee is one of tenacity and persistence. At the age of 12, he won two gold medals in his first swimming competition in 2003. There has been no turning back since. Sharath began winning gold medals at numerous swimming championships around India.

Yogendra Singh Yadav was born on May 10, 1980, in the village of Aurangabad Ahir, Bulandshahr District, Uttar Pradesh, to the Kshatriya Yadav family. His father, Karan Singh Yadav, participated in the Kumaon Regiment during the Indo-Pakistan wars of 1965 and 1971. Yadav joined the Indian Army when he was 16 years and five months old. Subedar Major and Honorary Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav PVC is a former Indian Army commissioned officer who received the highest Indian military honour medal, the Param Vir Chakra, for his actions during the Kargil War. He is the youngest recipient of the medal, having gotten it when he was 19 years old.
