Stephen Adam Amell was born in Toronto, Ontario, on May 8, 1981, parents Sandra Anne and Thomas J. Amell. His first cousin is actor Robbie Amell. He went to St. Andrew's College and was quite interested in athletics. He supported local sports teams such as the Toronto Raptors, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Toronto Blue Jays. He lobbied for Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson to be named to the all-star squad in 2015. Stephen Amell is a Canadian film and television actor who has appeared in films such as 'Closing the Ring,' 'Stay with Me,' and 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.' His depiction of Oliver Queen/Green Arrow in the television series 'Arrow' made him famous and got him four Emmy nominations. He has now played the primary role of a superhero for five seasons. The show has been so successful that it has inspired a slew of additional shows that comprise the network's 'Arrowverse.'
