On May 6, 1856, in Freiberg, Moravia, in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Sigmund Freud was born to a wool trader and his second wife, Jakob and Amalie. This settlement, which is now known as Pbor, is located in the Czech Republic. Sigmund Freud was an Austrian neurologist best recognised as the creator of psychoanalysis. Freud established a set of talk therapy-centered therapeutic approaches that included the use of tactics such as transference, free association, and dream interpretation.
