Ritu Phogat won the gold medal in the 2016 Commonwealth Wrestling Championship and became well-known for her wrestling abilities. Ritu Phogat was born in Balali, Haryana, India on May 2, 1994. She was raised in a Punjabi Jatt household. Her father began her wrestling training when she was eight years old. Her father guided her like he had her two older elder sisters. She soon relocated to Singapore to train with numerous world champions of Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the world-famous Evolve MMA, where she honed her hitting and submission abilities with her exceptional wrestling.
