Muhammad Atif Aslam is a playback singer, songwriter, composer, and actor from Pakistan. He is most recognised in the Pakistani and Indian cinema industry for his blockbuster songs. He is recognised for his vocal belting technique and has recorded multiple chart-topping songs in both Pakistan and India. He primarily sings in Urdu and, on occasion, Hindi, although he has also performed in Punjabi, Bengali, and Pashto. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest playback singers in the Indian and Pakistani music industry, with a number of hit chart-topping songs. Aslam was awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the Pakistani government in 2008, the fourth-highest civilian honour. He has also received a lot of Lux Style Awards. In 2011, Aslam made his acting debut in the Urdu social drama film Bol. After being nominated for the greatest vocalist in Pakistan, he received a star on the Dubai Walk of Fame in 2019. He was also named one of Forbes Asia's 100 Digital Stars, which will be published in December 2020. Aslam has a big fan base in Pakistan, as well as in neighbouring India and Bangladesh. He addresses his admirers as "Aadeez."
