The youngest child of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, was born on March 10, 1964. He is the 14th in line to the British throne. Edward, who was born in Buckingham Palace, attended Heatherdown School and Gordonstoun A-levels before taking a gap year to teach in New Zealand. He attended Jesus College, Cambridge, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Cambridge in 1986. After serving in the Royal Marines for a short time, Edward worked as a theatrical production assistant at the Really Useful Theatre Company before moving on to television production. Ardent Productions was afterwards founded by him.
