Bryan Lee Cranston was born on March 7, 1956 in New York City and is an American actor, director, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for his roles as Hal in the Fox comedy Malcolm in the Middle (2000–2006), Walter White in the AMC crime thriller Breaking Bad (2008–2013), and Dr. Tim Whatley in the NBC sitcom Seinfeld (1994–1997). Cranston's work on Breaking Bad garnered him four Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (2008, 2009, 2010, and 2014). He also won the award for Outstanding Drama Series twice after becoming a producer of the show in 2011.
