Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata (July 29, 1904 – November 29, 1993) was a non-resident Indian aviator, industrialist, entrepreneur, and the chairman of the Tata Group. He was born into the Indian Tata family, the son of noted businessman Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata and his wife Suzanne Brière. His mother was the first woman in India to drive a car, and he became the country's first licenced pilot in 1929. He is also best known as the founder of the Tata Group, which includes Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Motors, Titan Industries, Tata Salt, Voltas, and Air India.
