Italian politician and journalist Benito Mussolini (29 July 1883 – 28 April 1945) established and oversaw the National Fascist Party. From the March on Rome in 1922 until his removal as prime minister in 1943, he served as both the "Duce" of Italian fascism from the founding of the Italian Fasces of Combat in 1919 until his execution by Italian partisans in 1945.
