Arthur Shrewsbury was an English cricketer and rugby football administrator who lived from 11 April 1856 to 19 May 1903. He was widely regarded as a rival to W. G. Grace for the title of best batsman of the 1880s; when asked who he would most like in his team, Grace simply replied, "Give me Arthur." Shrewsbury was an opening batsman for Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club and represented England in 23 Test matches.
