Dara Singh Randhawa (November 19, 1928 – July 12, 2012) was a professional wrestler, actor, director, and politician from India. He began acting in 1952 and was the first sportsperson to be elected to India's Rajya Sabha (upper house). He worked as a producer, director, and writer for Hindi and Punjabi films, as well as acting in films and on television. He is best known for his worldwide undefeated wrestling streak and later as a successful movie star. In Calcutta's Dharmatala, he was defeated by Brahmdev Mishra of Gorakhpur.
