The Hollywood Sign is a cultural icon and a landmark in Hollywood, California, United States. It is located on Mount Lee in the Santa Monica Mountains' Beachwood Canyon area. The word "Hollywood" is written in white capital letters 45 feet tall and 350 feet long. It was built in 1923 as a temporary advertisement for a local real estate development, but due to its growing popularity, it was kept up until 1978, when it was replaced with a more durable all-steel structure.

On July 11, 2006, the Mumbai train bombings were a series of seven bomb blasts. They took place on the Suburban Railway in Mumbai, the capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra and the country's financial capital, over the course of 11 minutes. The bombs were detonated in pressure cookers on trains travelling on the Western Line Suburban Section of the Western Railway's Mumbai Division. The explosions claimed the lives of 209 people and injured over 700 others.

Urbain Le Verrier, a French astronomer, noticed irregularities in the motions of other planets and calculated that there must be an eighth planet lurking beyond Uranus based on these perturbations. On September 23, 1846, German astronomer Johann Galle of the Berlin Observatory used Le Verrier's calculations to discover the new planet. Neptune's orbit is roughly oval in shape, and it takes the planet about 165 years to complete one circuit. Neptune's first orbit since its discovery on September 23, 1846, was completed in 2011.
