Nikola Tesla (July 10, 1856 – January 7, 1943) was a Serbian-American inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, and futurist best known for his contributions to the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system. Tesla, who was born and raised in the Austrian Empire, studied engineering and physics without receiving a degree in the 1870s and gained practical experience in the early 1880s working in telephony and at Continental Edison in the new electric power industry.

On July 11, 2006, the Mumbai train bombings were a series of seven bomb blasts. They took place on the Suburban Railway in Mumbai, the capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra and the country's financial capital, over the course of 11 minutes. The bombs were detonated in pressure cookers on trains travelling on the Western Line Suburban Section of the Western Railway's Mumbai Division. The explosions claimed the lives of 209 people and injured over 700 others.

Neptune is the only planet discovered through mathematics. Urbain Le Verrier, a French astronomer, noticed irregularities in the motions of other planets and calculated that there must be an eighth planet lurking beyond Uranus based on these perturbations. On September 23, 1846, German astronomer Johann Galle of the Berlin Observatory used Le Verrier's calculations to discover the new planet. Neptune's orbit is roughly oval in shape, and it takes the planet about 165 years to complete one circuit. Neptune's first orbit since its discovery on September 23, 1846, was completed in 2011.
