Justin Randall Timberlake, born January 31, 1981, is an American singer-songwriter and actor. He has six Grammys and two Emmys to his name. He rose to prominence as a competitor on Feature Search before going on to star in the Disney Channel television series The New Mickey Mouse Club, where he met future bandmate JC Chasez. Timberlake rose to prominence in the late 1990s as the lead vocalist of the boy band 'N Sync, whose formation was funded by Lou Pearlman. Justified, his debut solo album, was released in 2002 and sold over 7 million copies worldwide. The album was a commercial triumph, with the singles "Cry Me a River" and "Rock Your Body" being successes.
