Mahatma Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869 in Gujarat's Porbandar as Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. He acquired his higher education in England before returning to India and spearheading the liberation movement against British authority. His beliefs have been emulated over the world, and he is regarded as a textbook on 'living the right way.' He was affectionately known as 'Bapu,' and he exuded truth, nonviolence, and simplicity. Gandhi had previously survived five attempted assassination attempts prior to the eventual fatal blow on January 30, 1948. Gandhi was killed as he was leaving the nightly prayer service at Delhi's Birla House. Godse assassinated Gandhi by shooting him three time
