Alan Rickman was an actor and filmmaker from England. He studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and joined the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), where he performed in both modern and traditional theatre plays. Rickman had a mild stroke in August 2015, which led to the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Only his closest friends and family knew he had terminal cancer. He died in London on January 14, 2016, at the age of 69. On the 3rd of February 2016, his ashes were cremated at the West London Crematorium in Kensal Green.
