Swara Bhasker (born April 9, 1988) is an Indian actress who works primarily in Hindi films. She is best known for her supporting roles in mainstream productions and starring roles in independent films, for which she has won two Screen Awards and been nominated for three Filmfare Awards. Bhasker made her film debut in the 2009 drama Madholal Keep Walking, which was a commercial flop. She gained wider acclaim for her supporting role in the commercially successful 2011 romantic comedy Tanu Weds Manu. Her performance in the film was praised by critics, and she was nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress.
