Eiichiro Oda (born January 1, 1975) is a Japanese manga artist and the creator of the One Piece manga series (from 1997 to the present). One Piece is the best-selling manga in history, as well as the best-selling comic series printed in volume, with over 490 million tankbon copies in circulation worldwide, making Oda one of the best-selling fiction authors. Oda was recognised one of the manga artists who impacted the history of manga as a result of the series' success.
