Sarojini Naidu born on 13 February 1879 was a political activist and poet from India. She was a significant person in India's movement for independence from colonial authority, advocating for civil rights, women's emancipation, and anti-imperialistic beliefs. Because of the colour, imagery, and lyrical nature of her poems, Naidu acquired the moniker "the Nightingale of India" or "Bharat Kokila" by Mahatma Gandhi.
