Tiger Woods made his PGA debut in the Nissan Los Angeles Open on February 27, 1992, at the age of 16, becoming the sport's youngest player in 35 years. He was almost literally coached by his father Earl from the time he was a baby, and he was meant to become well-known. He recorded his first 80 at age 8, and by the time he was 12 years old, he had broken the 70 mark. In 1991, Tiger won the title of U.S. Junior Amateur Champion and garnered a number of honours in the process.
