During his conquest of India, Nader Shah, the founder of Iran's Afsharid dynasty, won a significant victory in the Battle of Karnal (24 February 1739). Within three hours, Nader's men crushed Muhammad Shah's army, clearing the stage for the Iranian assault of Delhi. The engagement is regarded as the pinnacle of Nader's military career as well as a tactical masterpiece. The combat took place near Karnal, India, 110 kilometres (68 miles) north of Delhi.

Levi Strauss was a German-American businessman born on February 26th, 1829 in Bavaria, who immigrated to the United States with his family when he was 18 years old.

Strauss began his career as a dry goods salesman in San Francisco, California, where he sold apparel, bedding, bags, and handkerchiefs to immigrants, many of whom had come to California to participate in the gold rush. 

Needless to say, the intense physical labor demanded of miners and those building new railways at the time made it impossible for them to obtain clothing that would survive more than a few months without coming apart at the seams. One of Strauss' clients, a tailor called Jacob W. Davis, was contacted one day in 1870 by a woman in need of a pair of unusually tough working pants for her husband, a woodcutter.

Davis was inspired by her desire to build a pair of trousers out of the denim he'd purchased from Strauss' shop, which he then reinforced with copper rivets to reinforce the stitching. Davis was unable to keep up with the demand for his creation, nor did he have the finances to create a larger tailor business or get a patent, since word of the new piece of clothing and its endurance traveled quickly. 

Davis, who was falling more behind and worried that someone else might steal his concept, decided to seek Strauss' financial support in completing a patent application. Strauss consented, the patent was granted, the two men joined together, and Levi Strauss & Co was established.

Malcolm Stevenson Forbes was an American businessman best known as the publisher of Forbes magazine, which his father, B. C. Forbes, started. He was renowned as an outspoken supporter of capitalism and free market economics, as well as for his opulent lifestyle, which included spending on parties, travel, and his collection of mansions, boats, planes, art, motorbikes, and Fabergé eggs. Forbes died of a heart attack in 1990, at the age of 70, at his home in Far Hills, New Jersey. Dr. Oscar Kruesi, a friend and physician, pronounced him dead. Malcolm Forbes' son Steve Forbes and granddaughter Moira Forbes have overseen the magazine company since his death.

Divya Bharti born on February 25, 1974  was an Indian actress who mostly appeared in Hindi and Telugu films. She was one of the most popular and highly paid Indian actresses of her day, known for her acting range and attractiveness. Bharti began her film career as a teen while undertaking pin-up modelling tasks. She made her debut in the Telugu-language romantic action film Bobbili Raja (1990), alongside Venkatesh, and then in the commercially disastrous Tamil-language film Nila Pennae (1990). She played minor parts in films such as Naa Ille Naa Swargam (1991) and Assembly Rowdy (1991). Rowdy Alludu, a romantic comedy, was Bharti's first commercial triumph (1991).

The World Health Organization today removed India, which has been polio-free for almost a year, from the list of polio endemic nations. Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad made the news during the polio summit 2012 in the presence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The WHO endemic list included just three countries: Pakistan, Nigeria, and Afghanistan. After getting removed from the list, India will have to maintain polio-free status for the following two years through sustained efforts and an emergency preparation and response plan.

Shree Amma Yanger Ayyappan, better known as Sridevi, was an Indian actress and film producer who worked in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada films. She was dubbed the "First Female Superstar" of Indian film and received several awards, including a National Film Award. Sridevi's five-decade career spans a variety of genres, from slapstick comedy to epic tragedies, and she is widely acknowledged as one of the most important actors in Indian cinema history. Sridevi died on February 24, 2018 at 19:00 GMT in her hotel room, when her husband discovered her.

The singer Lauryn Hill received five Grammy awards on February 26, 1999. For her 1998 album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, the hip-hop and rhythm and blues performer won five wins at the 41st Annual Grammy Awards, the most for a woman at the time. The album was nominated for 10 awards in total.

Urvashi Rautela (born February 25, 1994) is an Indian model and actress who has appeared in Bollywood films. She won the title of Miss Diva Universe 2015 and represented India in the Miss Universe 2015 competition. Rautela was crowned Indian Princess 2011, Miss Tourism World 2011, and Miss Asian Supermodel 2011 in 2011. She was also the first Indian woman to win the Miss Tourism Queen of the Year 2011 pageant, which was held in China. [Citation required] She was also offered Isaqzaade but declined since she wanted to concentrate on the Miss Universe event.

February 26, India carried out air strikes on an alleged JeM terrorist camp deep within Pakistan. In the operation, India claimed to have killed "a substantial number of JeM militants, trainers, senior leaders, and groups of jihadis." The next day, Pakistan replied with its own air attacks in Indian Kashmir, as well as the detention of an Indian pilot whose plane was shot down while flying over Pakistani airspace.

Lobsang Ngawang Thupten Gyatso Jigdral Chokley Namgyal (12 February 1876 – 17 December 1933) was the 13th Dalai Lama of Tibet, enthroned at a difficult period and the collapse of the Qing Dynasty. He is also known as "the Great Thirteenth," for redeclaring Tibet's national independence, as well as for his reform and modernization measures. Due to his two periods of exile, from 1904 to 1909 to avoid the British invasion of 1904 and from 1910 to 1913 to avoid a Chinese invasion, he became well acquainted with the complexity of international politics and was the first Dalai Lama to recognise the importance of foreign relations.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is an Indian director, screenwriter, and music composer best known for his work in Hindi cinema. He was born on February 24, 1963. He has received a number of honours, including five National Film Awards, 10 Filmfare Awards, and a BAFTA nomination. The Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian honour, was bestowed to him in 2015. Bhansali made his directorial debut in 1996 with the love musical Khamoshi: The Musical, for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Film (Critics). With the financially successful romance Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999) and the epic musical romantic drama Devdas (2002), he catapulted to popularity in Hindi-language film.

Sanya Malhotra (born February 25, 1992) is an Indian actress who works primarily in Hindi cinema. After making her cinematic debut as Babita Kumari in the biographical sports film Dangal (2016), she went on to feature in the comedy-drama Badhaai Ho (2018), both of which were box office successes in India. She was nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Actress (Critics) for her roles in the drama Photograph (2019) and the dark comedy crime picture Ludo (2020), as well as for her supporting performance in the biopic Shakuntala Devi (2020).

Sir Donald George Bradman, AC, nicknamed "The Don" and born on August 27, 1908, was an Australian international cricketer widely regarded as the greatest batsman of all time. Bradman's lifetime Test batting average of 99.94 is regarded as the highest performance by any athlete in any major sport. The tale goes that as a young guy, Bradman practised alone with a cricket stump and a golf ball. Bradman rose from bush cricket to the Australian Test squad in just over two years. Before his 22nd birthday, he had established several top scoring records, some of which still stand, and had become Australia's athletic idol during the Great Depression. He died on February 25, 2001.

Jayaram Jayalalithaa, born on February 24, 1948, was an Indian politician, actress, and philanthropist who served as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu from 1991 to 2016. She was the general secretary of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) from 9 February 1989, a Dravidian party whose cadre saw her as their "Amma" (Mother) and "Puratchi Thalaivi" (Revolutionary leader). Her detractors in the media and the opposition accused her of establishing a personality cult in AIADMK legislators and ministers, who frequently publicly prostrated themselves before her.

Ajay Devgn married Kajol in a traditional Maharashtrian wedding at Devgn's home on February 24, 1999. The wedding drew widespread media attention, with some criticising Kajol's decision to marry at the "height of her career."
