Hilton was born in New York City and reared in Beverly Hills, California. She is the great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, the founder of Hilton Hotels. She originally came to the notice of tabloids in the late 1990s, when she became a regular in New York City's late-night scene. She began modelling at the age of 19, when she signed with Donald Trump's firm, Trump Model Management.
