Mohammad Azharuddin, born 8 February 1963, is a former international cricketer and former captain of India's national cricket team. He was the member of parliament for Moradabad and the functioning president of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee. He played 99 Test matches and 334 One Day Internationals for India before his international career was cut short when he was found to be engaged in a match fixing controversy in 2000 and was subsequently banned for life by the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
