Joshi is known for his performances, and he toured Afghanistan, Italy, France, Canada, and the United States between 1964 and 1982. He was the first Indian musician in New York City to have his concerts promoted on posters. Joshi was a driving force behind the annual Sawai Gandharva Music Festival, which pays tribute to his mentor, Pandit Sawai Gandharva.

Satyendra Nath Bose, an Indian mathematician and physicist who specialised in theoretical physics, was born on January 1, 1894. In the early 1920s, he collaborated with Albert Einstein to create the foundation for Bose–Einstein statistics and the theory of the Bose–Einstein condensate, which he is best known for. He was a Fellow of the Royal Society and received the Padma Vibhushan, India's second highest civilian honour, from the Government of India in 1954. On February 4, 1974, he passed away.
