Sharad Govindrao Pawar, an Indian politician, was born on December 12, 1940. On three times, he has served as Maharashtra's Chief Minister. He has served in the Indian government as Minister of Defence and Minister of Agriculture. He is the president of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), which he created after leaving the Indian National Congress in 1999. He is the leader of the NCP delegation in the Rajya Sabha, India's upper house of parliament. Maha Vikas Aghadi is his organization's chairperson.
