Usain Bolt, born August 21, 1986, is a retired Jamaican sprinter widely regarded as the greatest of all time. He holds the world records for the 100 m, 200 m, and 4 x 100 m relay. Bolt, an eight-time Olympic gold medalist, is the only sprinter to have won the Olympic 100 m and 200 m titles in three consecutive Games (2008, 2012, and 2016). He also won two gold medals in the 4 100 relay. He rose to prominence after winning both sprints in world record times at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, making him the first person to hold both records since fully automatic time became mandatory.
